The Role

As Head of Business Development, you will be responsible (together with the CEO) for acquiring new clients and expanding our business from existing accounts across all services. You will leverage knowledge of e-commerce and understanding of what makes brands successful to create tailored proposals that address the unique challenges faced by each brand and enable their online growth.

You stay up to date with the latest market developments, work closely with our different in-house teams, both locally and regionally, and maintain close relationships with the key e-commerce platforms and brands. As we continuously expand our services, you evaluate and explore which accounts can benefit from incremental services and thereby generate more revenue for Intrepid.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive brand partnership strategy in alignment with the company's business objectives and target market.
  • Identify, research, and prioritize potential brand partners that align with our target audience. Proactively reach out to prospective brand partners through various channels, including email, social media, and networking events.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline of leads and opportunities, tracking progress and reporting on key metrics to senior management.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to develop customized partnership proposals and presentations that showcase our capabilities and value proposition.
  • Lead the end-to-end sales process, from initial contact to contract negotiation and closing, ensuring a seamless experience for clients. Negotiate partnership agreements, including terms, deliverables, and budgets, ensuring mutual benefit for all parties involved.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at partner organizations, including brand managers, marketing directors, business development executives, and platform stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities in the brand partnership space, keeping Intrepid at the forefront of innovation.
  • Represent Intrepid at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network with potential partners and enhance our brand visibility

Who we look for—the ideal profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or related roles within the digital commerce industry.
  • Deep understanding of marketplaces, marketing solutions, technologies, and trends.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and influence key decision-makers.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills both in English and Vietnamese, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong business acumen with a track record of quantitative analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets and objectives.
